Born in Imperial Valley, California, I’m a first-generation Latina college student pursuing a B.S. in Astrophysics and a minor in Film, Television, and Digital Media Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles. I currently work as an Electronics & Magnetics Intern at the UCLA Space Magnetism Laboratory in the Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences where I received a NASA Undergraduate Space Grant for Winter Quarter of 2023 for my contribution to the lab’s construction of two fluxgate magnetometers for the upcoming NASA mission: TRACERS. As an entry-level Astrophysicist, I am eager to utilize my theoretical and observational understanding of the universe in a practical, hands-on role within the space industry. My goal is to work as an engineer on interdisciplinary teams to design, build, and test cutting-edge space technology, with the ultimate aim of pushing the boundaries of humanity's exploration and understanding of the cosmos.
